紀慧玲 CHI, Hui-Ling

劇評人,國家文化藝術基金會「表演藝術評論台」台長暨駐站評論人。曾任《民生報》記者十九年,兩度獲得吳舜文新聞獎文化專題獎,及大陸新聞暨兩岸關係報導獎文化新聞獎。1997年規劃《民生報》「表演評論」專欄(至2005年),為迄今平面媒體表演藝術評論持續力最長的版面。著書:《喧蟬鬧荷說九歌》(與徐開塵合著)、《凍水牡丹─廖瓊枝》、《梆子姑娘─王海玲》。現就讀台北藝術大學戲劇系博士班,曾任第七、八屆台新藝術獎觀察委員暨第八屆決審委員。

CHI Hui-Ling is a theater critic, and Director and Resident Critic of Performing Arts Review, National Culture and Arts Foundation. She worked as a reporter at Min Sheng Daily for 19 years, and twice won the Cultural Feature Prize of the WU Shen Wen News Award as well as the Cultural News Prize of the Cross-Strait Relations and Mainland News Reporting Award. In 1997, she organized and launched the column, Performing Arts Review, on Min Sheng Daily, which lasted until 2005. This newspaper review section of performing arts was the most long-lasting one on print media so far. CHI has also written extensively on various famous traditional Taiwanese and Chinese opera singers, such as The Legendary Diva of the Taiwanese Opera: LIAO Chiung-Chih and The Bangzi Girl: WANG Hai-Ling. Co-authored with HSU Kai-Chen, CHI has written a book documenting the production of the dance piece Nine Songs by the renowned dance company Cloud Gate. Chi is now a PhD student, Department of Theatre Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts. She was also a nominator for the 7th and 8th Taishin Arts Award and a juror of the final selection committee of the 8th Taishin Arts Award.
