笠原美智子 Kasahara Michiko

笠原美智子現任日本東京都寫真美術館擔任首席策展人、日本明治學院大學講師。1983年畢業於明治學院大學社會系，1987年獲得美國芝加哥哥倫比亞學院攝影碩士學位。1989-2002年期間，參與東京都寫真美術館策展，亦是創館成員之一；2002-2006年轉任東京都現代美術館策展人，2006年返回東京都寫真美術館擔任首席策展人至今。她策劃過的展覽包括2005年威尼斯雙年展日本館石内都個展《Mother’s 2000-2005, traces of the future》，以及為東京都現代美術館 2005年年度大展策展《MOT Annual 2005: Life Actually; the Works of Contemporary Japanese Women》。 其他策展資歷抱括: 2012年《somewhere between me and this world – Japanese contemporary photography》、2010年《Love’s Body – Art in the Age of AIDS》、2008年《On your body, Japanese contemporary photography》、2001年《Kiss in the Dark: Contemporary Japanese Photography》、1998年《Love's Body --- Rethinking the Naked and the Nude in Photograph》、1997年《Alfred Stieglitz and his Contemporaries》、1996年《Gender Beyond Memory, The Works of Contemporary Women Artists》 ，以及1991年《American Documents in the fringe》及《Exploring the Unknown Self --- Self-portraits of Contemporary Women》等個展。著作有 2004年《戰爭背後的政治》之「戰爭報導攝影」篇章、2002年《攝影：作為時代的抵抗》東京青丘社、1998年《裸體畫背後的政治：女性攝影家作品》東京築摩書房。

Kasahara Michiko is the Chief Curator of Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, and Lecturer at the Meiji Gakuin University. In 1983, she received her B.A. in Sociology, Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo and M.A. in photography, Columbia College, Chicago, USA in 1987. She served as a curator of Tokyo Photographic Art Museum from 1989 to 2002, and then a curator of Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo from 2002 to 2006.
