這是一個有關我們如何看待美好事物失去的作品。「看待」在這裡不僅僅是一種心理上的因應，也是一種觀看的方式。我們接觸過許多美好的人事物，他們終將在我們的生命之中一一失去。對此我們往往不知所措，然後慢慢的習慣，以至於遺忘。但是這如何發生？首先我們的視覺發現這些東西陳舊、消失或是斑駁，這是很重要的一個環節，接著我們才在心理上接受這件事真正的過去。然而在數位時代這件事改變了。譬如我們面對一張親人的照片，不再能夠感覺那個紙張品質的衰退。代之而起的是一個個螢幕，親人朋友與戀人在裡面不僅栩栩如生，而且畫質永遠亮麗如新，特別當螢幕的畫素已經跟不上相機的進步，相片的時間感徹底的消失，即使有些微的變化，我的眼睛也察覺不到。這個人類前所未有的經驗與我的家族歷史交會在一個奇妙的時間點，

2003年，數位相機恰恰興起，我的家庭最後一次出去旅行。

“I bought my first digital camera in 2004. It had a low-resolution senor-- only two megapixels, and I used it to record a family trip later that same year. Twelve years have gone by now and it seems so strange to me that these photos from the trip still look as new as those that I shot yesterday. So I came up with the idea of making the photos look aged.”

In the digital era, photography has become impervious to aging as digital images don’t fade or turn yellow over time. Photographer Sean Wang tries to make the photos from his family's trip 12 years ago look aged by re-shooting them from his computer screen.

Inspired by Thomas Ruff, he has taken a different approach to highlight the flaws in digital photography and to rethink the connection between digital photography and personal experiences/memories.
