意識到大地帶來的劇烈感知，包含地質與氣候力量的死亡性及其凶險，在土地開闢之初便已發生。除了使不少廟宇、聚落反覆處在建設與毀壞的輪迴之中，也孳生不少地方野史與靈異傳聞。藝術家梁廷毓藉由重探南台灣歷史地震、暴潮的場址、死者的遇難現場及重建之後的廟祠，以及常民過往面對「地動」與「海吼」時蘊含的風水（geomancy）和宇宙生態學（astroecology）思惟，以蕭壠文化園區的駐村個展，作為計畫初步的呈現。透過影像敘事、物件與地理圖誌，重溯因為災變而產生的死難、鬼魅性及地質感覺，從靈體和超自然傳聞勾連地文（地震、地貌變化）與水文（暴潮、海嘯史）；鬼魅與人文（陰祠、廟宇史）之間交纏互織的脈絡，思索地質條件對於歷史文化的影響，以及一種另翼的地史敘事與編撰想像。

The drastic perception of the changes caused by earth, including the deadly and dangerous impacts from geology and climate, has occurred at the very beginning of this land. Numerous temples and communities have been destructed by the power of nature and then rebuilt over again and again. Unverified local history and stories about paranormal incidents are thus widely spread. The artist, Liang Ting-yu, attempts to explore the locations in southern Taiwan where earthquakes and storm surges used to take place and where people died from disasters. By visiting the temples being rebuilt, he also intends to interpret the “moving earth” and “roaring sea” in folk culture through the concepts of geomancy and astroecology. This solo exhibition in Siao-long Cultural Park is the initial part of his project. Through narration based on images, objects, and geographical annals, the artist traces back to the death and tragedies resulting from natural disasters. He also tries to present the mysterious atmosphere and its relation to geology. From soul and supernatural phenomena to earthquakes, topographical variations, and hydrology (storm surge and history of tsunami), from ghosts to human culture (ghost temple and the history of temples), the artist endeavors to highlight geologic impacts on human history and culture. The exhibition also shows an alternative way to interpret geologic history and offers possibilities for imagination.
