王嘉驥 Chia Chi Jason Wang

1961年出生於基隆市,現居台北市。早年從事藝術史研究、典籍翻譯與教學。1990年代起,開始藝術評論寫作;1998年之後,也從事當代藝術策展,累積的策展總數超過三十以上。近年來,對於資深華人藝術家具有回顧性質的中大型個展,投入尤深。歷任台北當代藝術館(2001)、台北雙年展(2002)、第九屆威尼斯建築雙年展台灣館(2004)、第51屆威尼斯雙年展台灣館(2005)、首屆臺灣美術雙年展(2008)策展人。策展活動之外,仍持續藝術寫作,文章見於台灣、中國大陸和海外出版的藝術專輯與期刊。
Chia Chi Jason Wang was born in Keelung in 1961 and now lives in Taipei, Taiwan. He began his career as an art historian, translator and educator. Becoming an art critic since the early 1990s, he has contributed widely to various art catalogs and Chinese and English magazines. Also serving as an independent curator in contemporary art, he has curated over thirty exhibitions since 1998. In recent years, his attention is drawn more specifically towards senior major Chinese contemporary artists in Taiwan, Mainland China, and overseas. He served shortly as an in-house curator at the MOCA Taipei in 2001. During the past two decades, he has curated various major exhibitions, including the Taipei Biennial (2002), Taiwan Exhibitions at La Biennale di Venezia (2004 & 2005), and Taiwan Biennial (2008).
