凱薩琳．韋爾（Kathryn Weir）為現任法國龐畢度國家藝術和文化中心（以下簡稱「龐畢度中心」）跨文化發展部總監，專責該部門之展演活動，內容橫跨當代藝術、電影、舞蹈、行為藝術、視覺文化及當代思潮等，韋爾目前正在籌劃第二屆的「Cosmopolis」藝術平台計劃， 該計劃以二年為一期，第一屆的「Cosmopolis#1: Collective Intelligence 集體智慧」於2017年10-12展出。2017年6月韋爾亦於巴黎籌劃推出年度展演活動《動態：表演/舞蹈/動態影像》。韋爾策劃過的展覽包括：《崔西．莫法特：生氣勃發》、《壯美—無垠之途》、《動作，香港風》、《山水之境：1930年代起的中國動畫》、《雕塑即是一切》、《輕盈與重力》、《二十一世紀：最初十年的藝術》、《皮耶．保羅．帕索里尼：險境中的我們》、《柏樹與烏鴉：伊朗動畫五十年》、《小動作》、《現代廢墟》、《有閒階級》、《香港，上海：電影城市》、《野獸之吻》、《自然機器：當代藝術、自然與科技》、《熱門錄像：藝術與音樂錄像》及《請讀我的唇：珍妮・霍爾澤、芭芭拉·克魯格和辛蒂·雪曼》；2006年至2013年間，韋爾亦是第五、六、七屆亞太當代藝術三年展的策展委員會成員。

Kathryn Weir directs the exhibitions and programs of the Centre Pompidou's interdisciplinary cultural development department, whose projects cross contemporary art, film, dance, performance, visual culture and contemporary ideas. She is currently developing the second two-year cycle of the platform ‘Cosmopolis’, of which the first exhibition, ‘Cosmopolis #1: Collective Intelligence’, was presented at the Centre Pompidou from 18 October to 18 December 2017 (http://cosmopolis.centrepompidou.fr/en/). She also launched in June 2017 in Paris the new annual event ‘MOVE : performance / dance / moving image’. Her past curatorial projects include ‘Tracey Moffatt: Spirited’ (2014-15), ‘Sublime, Passages to the Infinite’ (2014-15), ‘Action, Hong Kong Style’ (2013), ‘Mountains and Waters: Chinese Animation since the 1930s’ (2012-13), ‘Sculpture is Everything’ (2012), ‘Lightness & Gravity’ (2012), ‘21st Century: Art in the first decade’ (2010-11), ‘Pier Paolo Pasolini: We Are All In Danger’ (2010), ‘The Cypress and the Crow: 50 Years of Iranian Animation’ (2009-10), ‘Small acts’ (2009), ‘Modern Ruin’ (2008), ‘The Leisure Class’ (2007-08), ‘Hong Kong, Shanghai: Cinema Cities’ (2007), ‘Kiss of the Beast’ (2005-6), ‘The Nature Machine: Contemporary Art, Nature and Technology’ (2004-5), ‘Video Hits: Art and Music Video’ (2004), and ‘Read My Lips: Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Cindy Sherman’ (1998). She was a member of the curatorium of the 5th, 6th and 7th Asia-Pacific Triennials between 2006 and 2013.
