‘One day, I closely scrutinised an image I had found online. It was an orange colour and looked like orange fruit, so I went to the supermarket and got some Australian and South African citrus to experiment with… A few days later, I fantasised about having a citrus tree and got myself a plant at the flower market. In the beginning, it had seven fruits. On the sixth day, it lost three, eighth day two, and tenth day all… The seller told me it was because of the pests, yet I observed for some time and found none…’ In time, the orange fruits fell off the tree. I collected the dried fruits and contemplated the ‘橙’ (orange) in the context of durée. Within the duration of its experience, it could be either colour, light, smell or sound. Thus, I started to collect different impressions of ‘橙’ (orange) from people around and pieced together a temporary place for them to sit.
